The Epiphany

I've learned something.
I've learned that my mind was trapped
because I can't help being a poor sap.
I've learned that my heart was responsible,
and I should've known, but it was too horrible.

The epiphany.
The epiphany was the key! Don't you see?
It was the key to free my mind
from the tyranny of my emotions
which kept me in a bind.

Now my mind won't be restricted.
My past is now contradicted
by my fresh actions,
not kept in power by my emotions.
Don't you see? I'm free!
